Baker Stately Homes George I Walnut Low Chest
The beautifully proportioned walnut chest’s molded border extends to the rectangular top, which is inlaid with cross-banded borders and arrow pattern bands; 3 long graduated drawers are similarly inlaid and stand on bold cabriole legs carved on the knees and apron with foliage and husks terminating in scrolled toes; the brass swan necked handles are backed with solid plates. The original chest is English circa 1720. This piece is Baker 5368, Collector's Edition.
